When I was a boy I would watch Marlin Perkins on Wild Kingdom. Marlin was the first of the TV naturalists. I saw the great migration in Africa on this show and it made a lasting impression on me. It was the thing I wanted to see most in my life.
This is the story of how we planned the trip, the places we went and the pictures we took. On our first stop we landed in a small pane on a dirt strip in the midst of the great migration. It was the most exciting thing I have ever seen. They had to chase the zebras, wildebeest and giraffe off the runway with a truck before we could land!
